Background:
The Global Citizens Meetup brought together veteran activists, entrepreneurs, students and probably one of the most iconic inspirational speakers in the sustainable development movement Severn Cullis-Suzuki. In 1992 at the first Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro, Severn, then a 12 year old girl, brought an audience of international politicians and head of states to tears with her moving call to action for the sake of future generations. Her iconic speech is still widely shared on social media today.
